Received this letter via ASMP regarding the Calumet bankruptcy today….basically if they owe you merchandise, money, your own gear in for repair or replacement…your screwed.
To our loyal Employees and Customers:
It is with tremendous regret that we have to inform you that effective Wednesday, March 12, 2014, Calumet Photographic US was forced to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
Through a very quick turn of events, which included the complete withdrawal of lender support, Calumet was not afforded sufficient time to notify employees or customers as we would have wished.
Under federal Chapter 7 bankruptcy law, the assets of the company are frozen and cannot be returned, shipped, sold or otherwise released without the approval of the bankruptcy trustee. Therefore, Calumet photographic and its employees cannot initiate any transactions regarding merchandise or personal property. We cannot express how deeply sorry we are for this inconvenience.
We have been instructed to direct all inquiries to the bankruptcy attorney who is handling the Calumet case. Please find this information presented below.

Sincerely,
